Hey there Lakewood 4th graders—sharpen your pencils or fire up your keyboards!
On Saturday, December 7th, Downtown Lakewood will sparkle with holiday cheer during Light Up Lakewood, the annual holiday kickoff and lighting ceremony. And to make this magical evening even brighter, the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce invites all 4th graders to take part in our annual essay contest!
The topic? “Why I Love Lakewood”
We want to hear from you! Write about your favorite Lakewood traditions, your neighborhood, the places you love to shop or eat, the people who make this town special—whatever makes your heart light up when you think about Lakewood.
The winning writer will receive a $100 cash prize, a chance to ride in the Light Up Lakewood Parade, and the unforgettable honor of helping to flip the switch on December 7th to light up Downtown Lakewood!
