Thanks to everyone who joined us for PechaKucha Night 2020! Last Thursday we hosted an amazing evening of fast paced talks where four local presenters regaled us with tales of their risky adventures – and ventures – in the PechaKucha 20×20 format.
Thank you to Cox Business for their support and a virtual round of applause and appreciation goes to our four brave risk takers:
- Ian Andrews, Executive Director at LakewoodAlive
- Carol Barrett, Owner of Carol Lynn’s Salon Plus
- Cory Street, Intervention Specialist at Lakewood High School
- Steve Meka, Owner of Stem Soap Handmade Soap
The PechaKucha 20×20 format is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total) and the presenter talks as the images advance automatically. The PechaKucha format keeps presentations concise and fast-paced and powers multiple speaker events regionally and around the world.
‘Risky Business‘ was the Chamber’s 5th annual ‘powered by PechaKucha’ event; building on the the success of the 2016 ‘Lakewood Culture Club’, 2017 ‘Tell Us Your Story’, 2018 ‘Follow Your Passion’, and 2019 ‘Bring Back Your Bounce’ PechaKucha Nights.
