About COSE :

For over 40 years, COSE (Council of Smaller Enterprises) has protected and advocated for the small businesses in the region. As the region’s small business expert organization, COSE offers its members networking and educational events, advocacy on legislative and regulatory issues and cost-effective group purchasing programs. The programs and services COSE offers are designed to grow Northeast Ohio’s small business community successfully.

COSE provides a $150 discount for Lakewood Chamber members who wish to join COSE.

Energy:

As a dual member, you now have access to several programs designed to ensure you are maximizing your energy savings.

  • Reducing Utility Costs: COSE is pleased to offer its members more options than anywhere else and a no-cost consultative review of your natural gas and/or electric bill. OnDemand Energy is the managing consultant of the COSE Natural Gas and Electric Choice Programs.
  • Improving Energy Efficiency: Dominion East Ohio and the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) have partnered to offer nonresidential customers free energy assessments.
  • Finance Energy Improvements: COSE is partnering with KeyBank to provide flexible financing options for small business energy efficiency projects.
  • Contractor Network: COSE has have vetted a list of contractors with the expertise to complete energy efficiency projects at a reasonable cost.
  • Purchase Energy-Related Products at a discount: Rexel USA is a global leader in the distribution of electrical supplies and services for industrial, commercial and residential use. Each month, Rexel offers members special pricing on select products.

Advocacy:

COSE is a non-partisan, member-driven organization that serves as the unified, collective voice of small business in Ohio. We are eager to work with you and to continue our collaboration with policymakers and key stakeholders to tackle the issues that stand between small business owners and their ability to achieve success. Through our Small Business Advocacy Action Center, events such as COSE Day at the Capitol, and COSE’s membership in the National Small Business Association (NSBA), COSE provides opportunities for its members to access policy makers and weigh-in on legislation.

Workers Compensation:

COSE’s Workers’ Compensation Program has saved over $9 million in premiums, provided legal representation at over 480 administrative hearings before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and provided over 1,000 hours of safety consultative services through the Safety Plus Program.

The COSE Workers’ Compensation Group Rating Program is designed to provide savings and ongoing consultative services related to your workers’ compensation program. Its benefits include:
